Craneham Farm Holidays

About the farm

This 160 acre slice of glorious old Devon has been cared for by the same farming family for over 130 years. The farm is to be found nestled in an unspoilt part of Devon, about a mile and a half from the village of Buckland Brewer.

Our herd of 120 or so dairy cows are milked twice a day, every day - visitors are welcome to watch the milking process first hand.

A typical day on the farm starts at around 7am with the actual milking commencing around 7:30am. Acceptable reasons for starting earlier include wedding invitations, funerals, agriculturals shows and heatwaves!

Our bull runs with the cows all year and accordingly calves can be born at any time of year. Visitors are welcome to meet the calves and watch them being fed.

Take an opportunity to learn a little about where your food comes from and why it is important to support the British farming community.
